Heritage Society

Members enjoy invitations to events, including the Heritage Society annual breakfast. All Heritage Society members receive a special Zoo memento and may choose to be listed on our donor board and other Zoo publications, or may remain anonymous.  We respect your privacy.

Marlin Perkins Society

In 1991, the Marlin Perkins Society was formed in honor of one of our Zoo's great directors as a way to recognize those individuals, corporations and foundations who generously support the Zoo with an annual gift of $1,000 or more. When the Society was formed, it was comprised of only 48 members. Today, we have more than 1,100 members and have raised more than $23 million in revenue for the Zoo. These contributions enable us to remain a free world-class destination for millions each year and we are fortunate to have the opportunity to not only bring people and animals closer together, but to also educate children and adults on the importance of conservation and preserving these amazing creatures for future generations.

Over the years, our Marlin Perkins Society members have become some of the closest and most dedicated members of the Zoo family.  By taking advantage of the wonderful membership privileges, they have been able to enjoy special behind-the-scenes tours and up close and personal experiences with many of our animals, meet keepers and curators and learn some of the inside information about animal training, breeding and conservation programs as well as attend some of the best events the Zoo has to offer.

Heritage Society

The Saint Louis Zoo Heritage Society is a recognition program to thank and honor individuals for the support they provide the Zoo in the future through their estate plans or life income gifts. There are no membership fees involved in the Heritage Society. It is simply our way of thanking those who have remembered us with support for our mission to conserve animals and their habitats for generations to come.

Marlin Perkins Society

Marlin Perkins Society memberships begin at the $1,000 level and a full listing of privileges by level can be found by clicking on the "Benefits of Giving" button at the bottom of the screen.

If you work for a company with a matching gift program, you may be able to become a Marlin Perkins Society member for as little as $500. You may obtain matching gift information from your employer's Human Resources department or may contact Catherine Langreder, Manager of Annual Gifts, (314) 646-4859 for more information on Matching Gifts or the Marlin Perkins Society program. A list of known matching gift employers can be found on our website at www.stlzoo.org/matchinggiftcompanies

Members of the Heritage Society have remembered the Saint Louis Zoo in their estate plans in one or more of the following ways:
